i think this is a great and innovative photo manipulation.
I love the sphere and stone texture.

For me the highlight of this manipulation is the cracked bunch of the sphere falling down.

I'm not 100% in love with the light flair at the top of the sphere, but since this is a surreal manip, than i guess its allowed and acceptable in my POV.

i would have probably added some dark or light brush almost like dust or fog where the sky meets the ground just so the transition doesn't look to harsh.

Other than that i applaud you.
